The only impossible journey is the one you never beginAnthony Robbins
Hey guys… it’s finally here! I’ve always wanted to blog about party planning and events so I am happy that I have found the courage to begin my journey with you.
I recently had a health scare and spent two whole weeks alone at home with Smudge; my calico cat, avoiding any sort of communication with the outside world. I removed myself from social media, avoided my phone and took some well needed time out from my day-to-day job.
This wasn’t and isn’t healthy. Although Smudgey appreciated the extra snuggles, I wouldn’t recommend spending that much time in solitude if you’re naturally a sociable person.
Amongst all the snuggles and overthinking I spent my time reflecting; what is my purpose? My passion?
Not easy questions I know, so with all of the free time I had, I practised mindfulness for the first time and observed what my mind would casually wander off to.
I noticed that in my empty mind space I was distracted by so many design ideas for my home, for themed parties, and ideas for craft projects. The ideas were too much sometimes! I would constantly view some of my go to party planner blogs (my favourite being HWTM) or endlessly save pictures from Pinterest.
Yes! This is my passion! This is what makes me happy! Seeing someone’s vision come to life, seeing someone’s creativity and attention to detail come together to bring that magical end result. Just like a jigsaw puzzle (a stylish one of course – not one of those baked beans puzzles!) every little piece adds to the overall picture.
So my intention for this blog is to have a place to share ideas and inspiration for all special occasions from baby showers and themed parties to weddings. Please follow my blog for helpful tips, easy DIY craft projects and party food recipes that you will want to try out at home.
Finally; I am a list person! So you will see lots and lots of lists.
